| I've been a professional inker for Marvel,
DC and Image for 10 years working on a variety of titles including Superman:
Birhtright, Wolverine, X-men, Fantastic Four, Batman, and Superman. It's
a body of work that I'm extremely proud of, as there hasn't been a single
page in all those years that I rushed, even though I've been required once
in a while to finish up to three pages in one day. I've had the opportunity
to work with some of the best Filipino pencillers including Whilce Portacio,
Roy Allan Martinez and specially Leinil Francis Yu, my collaborator on
some of the best titles I worked on.
After a decade of inking, I decided to retire to concentrate on drawing, writing and coloring. Even though there's a part of me that thinks I may never visit these great characters again, specially since my own work have not lent itself well to super hero work, it would jump at the chance, if there was any opportunity.

Avalon Studios/Image With Whilce Portacio My working relationship with Whilce was rather unique, specially on Stone, which we worked on in 1997-1999. For this particular issue, all he gave me were pencils of the figure, without hatchings. I came in to not only ink it, but to articulate the hatchings and pencil all backgrounds.
